Very nice post, Jason. Congratulations.
I was wondering what should I do to configure the grails application to send messages to flex client with this blazeDS plugin. Could you help me on it?
Thanks

Hi Jason,

Have you tried your project using SpringSecurity 3? I think I have pretty much the same setup, but when I access my server via either browser (using the Grails controllers) or via my Flex client, I receive an exception:

org.springframework.web.context.request.ServletRequestAttributes cannot be cast to org.codehaus.groovy.grails.web.servlet.mvc.GrailsWebRequest

Without all is fine. The only obvious difference from what you've done is that I'm using SpringSecurity 3.

Anyway, nice to see your post and the valuable information in it.

Thanks,

Hello guys, nice discussion!
I've been using Swiz for some weeks and I find it great! I made an extension to the version 1.0 beta that uses custom metadata processor and Cairngorm Tasks. Why tasks? Simply because I don't like controllers, because they always grow very fast and they have to much logic in... i really like the idea to have small separated task, that I can setup like lego ;) in parallel or sequence (thanks to Cairngorm Task implementation... can someone tell me why they named it Tasks? Command is the pattern...). So I have my custom metatag [DynamicMediate] in my DynamicTask class and in the beanLaoder I simply put and it invokes the method that has this metetag ... for me it works great;) also when my DynamicTask makes a new instance of the taskClass I inspect all the tasks children and initialize them as beans, so every [Inject] tag works event in the children task (e.g. when SimpleTask extends cairngorm SequenceTask). I know that my thoughts here have basically nothig to your Swiz vs. Robotlegs argue but I only wanted to write that Swiz is a really great framework! Good job Swiz Team!

Hi Jason,

Thanks for posting this AWESOME how-to. (I put a cross-link to it on the Grails Blazeds plugin's page on grails.org, btw.) I have a question for you though (perhaps the answer is obvious but it's alluding me right now):

My services aren't returning strongly typed, AS3 classes marked by bindable. I'd read some where (I think on Sebastien's blog) that this currently is expected behavior. But in your response to Mark's original inquiry about returning "GORM" objects you allude that this is currently possible with Blazeds and Flashbuilder 4. Mind enlightening me on this?

Thanks,

Tami

Hey Jason,

Thanks for the awesome series about getting Spring Security and Blaze working nicely, it really helped me a lot.
Do you know how I would go about changing the auth-service provider to make it use the domain classes created by the plugin (ie. User, Role, etc) instead of the static configuration as above?
